My inclusion in this project is on a personal level very meaningful, The case for me is that living with a disablement forces - financially speaking – me into a situation of making what I have as a home provide for my artistic endeavours.I have had the dual usage of my home space as a studio for 6 years, and have faced the challenges that go along with the tertiary of an artist who has all-under-one-roof. The situation has led me at times to engage some inventiveness and undertake neighbourly negotiations for the artistic cause, my examples here are the invention of the ‘Fiesta Gallery’, a week long exhibition which centred six artists work in and upon an old Fiesta car parked outside the property and the shifting of a large finished sculpture over a 5ft wall to a neighbours garden because his gateway had the extra 3inches necessary for the sculpture to ever be seen outside of my back garden. This is of course is only my tale and anecdotes, but the belief for this project is in drawing attention to the similar stories of the many artists who can or must make do to keep their artistic lives on track.
